Greg Johnson has an extensive background in aeronautics making him a critical asset to Muskogee Technology (MT). Currently, Mr. Johnson serves as the Director of Manufacturing and is responsible for all management and oversight for services pertaining to the needs of Muskogee Technology manufacturing operations for the manufacturing of goods and products. This role is responsible for the day to day activity performed by the Machine Shop, Small Fabrication, and Heavy Fabrication departments while meeting price point, maximizing cost effectiveness, optimizing machine up-time and staff assignment, and sustaining process improvement measures involved with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing practices.
Over the past decade, Mr. Johnson has served Muskogee Technology in a variety of capacities enabling him to know firsthand the inner workings of many departments and work centers within MT’s business model. These areas include Quality, Contracting, CNC Machining, Purchasing, Estimator, and Proposals Manager. Before his time at Muskogee Technology, Mr. Johnson held an array of positions within the aerospace industry. He has served as System Safety Analyst for SAIC, Director of Programs for EJM Aerospace and spent 23 years in the Navy having served as a Helicopter Aircrew Chief, Mechanic, and Quality and Standardization Lead.
Mr. Johnson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Science and a minor in business. He is Aviation Safety and Maintenance Management certified. He holds a 6-Sigma Yellow Belt and is FAA Airframes and Power Plants licensed.
He lives in Pace, Florida with his wife, Trish and enjoys spending time with his three children and two grandchildren. He is a member of the Pensacola Runners Association, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).
