John Christy is currently serving as the Director of Composites for Muskogee Technology (MT) in Atmore, Al. where he is responsible for the daily operations of the composites department's cutting and kitting for Aerospace programs. MT 's Composites department currently has 4 Eastman cutting machines which has achieved a Quality rating > 98% and a 100% on-time delivery rating with our current customer base. The composite department prides itself in both Quality and on-time delivery to our customers while helping our customers meet their production needs and reduce lead times for the manufacturing process.
Mr. Christy has worked in the aerospace industry in both manufacturing and modification for more than nineteen years as an Aircraft Electrician, Aircraft Modification Supervisor, Engineering Planner, Manufacturing Engineer, and Program Manager prior to entering into Business Development for Muskogee Technology. He has also worked in the power generation and distribution industry in power plants and in the field to restore and maintain power through outages and storms. Mr. Christy has worked for and/or performed work for large aerospace companies such as L-3 Technologies, Lockheed Martin, and Boeing, as well as oil field companies such as Baker Hughes.
Mr. Christy grew up in Lithia, Florida. After high school graduation, he worked for Tampa Electric. He then began his service in the Marine Corps where he participated in Operation Iraqi Freedom. During his time in the Marine Corps, he started his Associates Degree, earned his Aviation Electricians certification, and received numerous ribbons, medals and accommodations.
Mr. Christy currently resides in Baker, Fl. where he devotes his free time to veterans’ organizations where he helps veterans returning home to overcome the obstacles they face and transitioning back into civilian life.
