Westly L. Woodruff

Westly L Woodruff Westly L. Woodruff currently serves as President/CEO of Muskogee Technology, a world-class AS9100 manufacturing operation consisting of (2) plants in Atmore, Alabama providing services related to CNC machining, metal fabrication, composites processing kitting and cutting, and inventory management for industries such as aerospace, wind energy/utilities, oil & gas, agricultural, and composites.

As an enrolled member of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians, Mr. Woodruff has served the Tribe in a variety of capacities. Before becoming CEO of Muskogee Technology, he served as the Tribal Government Facilities Division Director overseeing the Tribe’s facilities, natural resources, public works, and transportation services and as the Procurement Officer for Creek Indian Enterprises Development Authority, the economic development arm of the Tribe overseeing non-gaming markets and non-governmental services.

Mr. Woodruff has an extensive background working in manufacturing including nearly ten years in molded fiber operations at Huhtamaki Retail Business Unit Chinet Division and almost five years with Guntersville Steel & Mechanical.

Mr. Woodruff currently serves as Vice Chairman on the Poarch Creek Indian Gaming Authority Board of Directors, Secretary of the Operations Group for the United States Department of Transportation (USDOT), Tribal Transportation Self-Governance Negotiating Rule-Making Committee (TTSGP) mandated by Fixing Americas Surface Transportation Act (FAST), and Board Member for the Native American Contractors Association (NACA) headquartered in Washington D.C.

Mr. Woodruff grew up in the Atmore, AL area. Following graduation at Northview High School, he served in the United States Marine Corp in the Aviation Sector at the Naval Air Technical Training Center Pensacola, FL. Other trade specific continuing education achievements would include multiple NFPA 70E & NFPA 79 certifications, Lean Manufacturing Proactive Reliability, Care and Condition Monitoring certifications, AIDT Certified Leader certifications, Associates Degree in Human Resource Management, Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management, and Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) status from the American Purchasing Society.

Mr. Woodruff is the grandson of the late Mr. Lawrence Walker & Mrs. Reva McGhee Walker and great-grandson of Mr. Fred Walker, widely referred to as the first Chief of the Poarch Creek Indians. To further the legacy of tribal leadership set forth by his ancestors, he is active in supporting the local economic activities of the community and aggressively pursues opportunities to advance and preserve the Native American culture.

Woodruff currently resides in Gulf Shores, AL with Sallie, his wife of 21 years and daughter Madeline.
