What Is Fabrication Welding?
Welding is one of the most effective and cost-efficient methods of permanently joining two or more pieces of metal. Unlike brazing and soldering, the welding process not only bonds the pieces together but uses extreme heat—and occasionally the addition of other metals and gases—to force the individual components' metallic structures to join together and act as a single unit.

What Is Welding Used For?
Welding operations are used throughout industry to manufacture more than half of all U.S. products. Some of the key industries that employ these operations include:
- Aerospace: Engineers utilize MIG welding when manufacturing aircrafts, and plasma arc welding and electric resistance welding when joining sheeting and precision work.

Types of Welding Services Provided by Our Expert Welders

We operate two welding departments – one for light fabrication projects and another for heavy fabrication projects. Some of the welding techniques we offer include:
- TIG welding: Tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding, also known as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), is a welding method that employs a non-consumable tungsten electrode. Requiring a high level of focus and skill and capable of producing high quality components from thin materials, it is commonly used for aerospace and automotive components, and tubing.
- MIG welding: Metal inert gas (MIG) welding, also referred to as gas metal arc welding (GMAW), employs a consumable wire electrode continuously fed through a welding gun and an inert external gas—such as argon or an argon mixture—to shield the welded material from environmental contamination. One of the most common welding methods employed due to its versatility and ease of use, its typical applications include use in automotive, plumbing, and maritime repairs.
- Sub arc welding: Like MIG welding, submerged arc welding (SAW) employs a continuously fed consumable electrode. An arc forms between this electrode and workpiece, which then melts the electrode and uses it as filler during the welding operation. The process also generates a protective gas shield and granular slag to help protect the weld zone.
